Foxpine Logging Digger
Foxpine Logging
Foxpine Logging needed a new digger to work in the forests, so we stripped and rebuilt a Cat digger to suit this purpose. A high-tensile ROPS frame with an integrated hydraulic side door was installed to protect the operator in the case of rollovers. OPS grills on the front and exit side of the cabin stop branches from impacting the glass. On the boom side of the cabin, the standard glass window was replaced with an impact resistant and shatterproof polycarbonate alternative. Another change requested was raising the cabin by 500mm, to increase the operator's visibility. The digger booms themselves were modified from standard to a straight arm configuration which gives a higher lift clearance for the grapple. New hydraulic lines were made in-house to suit the change. Other changes include widening the track base, installing track guards and swapping much of the exterior panelling with heavier duty steel.
